Board of Directors

JeanineChair

Jeanine Kleimo - Christ Episcopal Church

In the winter of 2007 Jeanine saw the need for a shelter for homeless men in the city of Dover. Since that time she has lead some 1000 volunteers in providing meals, supervision, counseling and sleeping accommodations at cooperating inter-faith churches, which took week-long terms. She has developed a board of directors, called the Dover Interfaith Mission for Housing and has opened an intake center on Forest Street, which is able to accept 30 homeless men each night while seeking work during the day. With Jeanine's vision and through Grants and Fund raising efforts a permananent shelter has been renovated and we moved in on September 10, 2010.

Jeanine Kleimo has extensive experience working in international economic and community development. Jeanine brings over twenty five years of experience in technical assistance and training for low-income housing, loan funds, and financial management among nonprofits, private, and governmental organizations. She was a Fulbright Scholar in Singapore where she did her thesis on Singapore’s public housing program and its impact on economic development

Jeanine moved to Dover 30 years ago to start the National Council on Agricultural Life and Labor NCALL’s (NCALL) housing program.

She currently works as an international development consultant based in Dover, Delaware
